Chris and I love to dine out in Denver and Boulder. There are SO many great restaurants, it's hard to go wrong. If you want
a sure fire way to spend time with us while you're in town, invite us out to dinner. Or lunch. Or Breakfast. But skip the
Rocky Mountain Oysters.
Go Balls Out
Maine has lobsters, Philly has cheesesteaks and Denver has Rocky Mountain Oysters. If you're going to grab the bull by the...anyhow,
you may as well sample this dish with a fine wine, before a fine meal. The Fort Restaurant, a casual yet fine-dining spot near Morrison,
servers an appetizer platter offering RMOs along with peanut-butter-stuffed jalapenos and bison tongue.

Eat Breakfast at Lucile's
This Creole-inspired cafe has been curing hangovers in Boulder for 25 years with traditional beignets, eggs Benedict and red beans and
rice. Wash it all down with a cup o' chicory joe.

Sip a Stiff Martini in the Cruise Room
The Queen Mary lounge look-alike has been a Denver institution since the day Prohibition was repealed. Our vote: have the bartender
mix up a dirty Belvedere martini with extra olives.
Kelly's Note:
This is one of the coolest night spots in LoDo - it's like stepping back in time. As far as I'm concerned, every other martini bar
wants to be this bar. If you go out in Denver, the Cruise Room is NOT to be missed.

Get Buff
Chowing down on buffalo is a Western thang, and it's a must-do here in the Mile-High City. Plus, buffalo has about half the fat
of beef. You'll find a tasty buff burger at Racine's Restaurant.

Kelly's Note:
5280 listed Bonnie Brae Ice Cream for the place to go in the summer, but we prefer Liks. A Cheeseman Park standard for years,
Liks makes their own ice cream and they have some of the most unusual flavors around. Try my favorite, the Cheeseman, in a
giant waffle cone.

Eat a 1,100-calorie Gut Bomb at Chipotle No. 1
When your town's best-known exports are watery beer, fried testicles and a lousy hotel omelet, it's kinda tough to develop
any kind of culinary rep. So you'll forgive us for our open-armed embrace of the mighty Chipotle burrito, the megaburrito that's
won raves from Ozzy Osbourne and The New York Times. Order up yours where it all started, Chipotle No. 1.

Eat Family-Style
For 25 years, the Nunez family has brought the taste of Guanajuato, Mexico, to Denver in the form of La Cueva. The family's made-
from-scratch recipes are unrivaled. Denverites return again and again for the green chile, tamales and margaritas.

Visit Pete's Kitchen at Midnight
For drunk-food heaven, try the breakfast burrito supreme - scrambled eggs, has browns, ham, sausage, bacon and gyro meat, wrapped
in a tortilla and smothered in red chile and cheese. Open 24 hours on the weekends.
Kelly's Note:
Unlike the collegiate favorite, La Bamba's, this food is good in daylight and sober. Give it a go if you're in Denver!

Polish off a Burger at the Cherry Cricket
It's a flawless half-pound of seared ground chuck, perfectly greasy, peffectly delicious. Go ahead. Try to eat two. We dare
you. If you're not full after a burger, "frings" (a combo order of rings and fries) and a beer, you may need professional help.

Dig into a Denver Omelet
The best of the bunch is at Dozens, a favorite breakfast spot of Denver's movers and shakers.

Drink a Margarita at the Rio Grande
They make 'em so potent there's a three-drink limit. Take it from us: Three is more than enough.
